When the program is eliminated at the end of this month, will they not even be able to work around the shelter for the $5/hour that the program pays its guest/employees? Did the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development think that $5/hour was too much to pay those people to clean the bathrooms after they're used by 100 people every day?
Even if they're able to have saved beds for the two years that they were supposed to be able to be in the program, they'll have to be subjected again to all of the stress of being in the lottery bed sections, and also have to leave the shelter every day or sit in the lobby without a place to rest?
