I'm not telling women to carry weapons. I don't carry weapons. It seems to me that weapons are easy for someone to take away and use against you. It also seems to me that if even one man decides that he's going to rape me, it will be difficult for me to stop him if he gets hold of me. Men tend to be much stronger than women; even small men tend to be stronger than the average woman. It's good to take self-defense classes; I have taken a few of those, but I don't know a lot about fighting.
What I'm saying is this:
-the conglomerate thinks it's progressive and it isn't.
-the conglomerate has inflamed attitudes against women and has done nothing except destroy women's gains in society.
-not enough has changed since this book was written.
"Chris Roberts" is not the real name of the victim in this account. At the beginning of the book, the author wrote that she changed the names of the people whom she interviewed to protect their privacy.
Those are all pictures from today of parts of the book "The Politics of Rape: The Victim's Perspective," by Diana Russell.
