Extremist Islam encourages men to have domination over all the women in their lives, doesn't it? Why would it be more probable that Tashfeen Malik turned her husband into a terrorist in two years of marriage than that he, being born in the United States and a target of racism and discrimination all his life, chose to marry someone who would not question his decisions?
It's not that surprising that they had a baby; most extreme interpretations of traditional religion prohibit or severely restrict birth control.
Another tragedy in this situation is that couple's innocent child. She's famous already and will be carrying the burden of their actions all her life.
