Is the conglomerate getting video from illegal cameras hidden in the bathrooms at On The Rise, or from voyeurs who are somehow able to get video through the window shade?

December 18, 2015

The conglomerate has no idea how often I have talked to staff at On The Rise about getting coverage for the window of the bathroom that has the shower.  It took months for them to replace the broken shade that was there before.

When they finally got the shade replaced, it was a shade that has slats and little holes for the strings that keep the shade together.  I mentioned that as a problem, also, and they haven't done anything about it.

I'm not sure why that is, because there are certainly times when one or more staff people are judgmental and even emotionally abusive toward me.  The times of emotional abuse don't tend to be as severe as at other shelters, but it's always difficult to deal with.

However, it would seem that, even though they are aware of the dangers that the conglomerate poses, they haven't prioritized protecting the homeless women who access their services from voyeurism and involuntary pornography.

I never pee in the shower.  I did that a few times when I was in situations where the shower was not in a bathroom that had a toilet or I had to get out of the bathroom in a certain amount of time, but I also always cleaned the shower before I left the bathroom.

This publication by John Mayer made me think that someone might be getting illegal video from the bathroom at On The Rise, which is why I started publishing pages asking if that was happening.

If it is happening, the entire conglomerate knows about it and has continued its rampage of abuse anyway.

Like all homeless people, I have to live and get services from overnight and day shelters.  I don't have a choice about that.  I also don't have a choice about whether or not to use toilets or take showers.

If you put cameras in bathrooms, you will get video of people using toilets and taking showers.  That means that YOU'RE DOING SOMETHING WRONG AND ILLEGAL.
