The Internet says that it's around 40 degrees Fahrenheit while I write this page. One website says "feels like 31 degrees."
How cold was it last night?
It is not that difficult to get barred from a homeless shelter. If there is a staffperson with some power who doesn't like you, it's difficult not to get barred.
There are also people who hate shelters so much that they would rather sleep outside on brick, totally exposed to predators all night.
