I don't need sympathy.

January 20, 2016

I think that part of the problem for me continues to be the conglomerate's stubborn, sexist ideas about women.  The conglomerate seems to be looking for me to cry or apologize or capitulate before it stops bullying me; what it never seems to understand about me is that the conglomerate's opinion of me does not strike at the core of my self-esteem.  It's the tangible effect of that opinion that I have protested every day since the conglomerate formed in 2010.

It is unpleasant to be the target of undeserved hatred.  However, I do not crumple from the negative opinions that people who don't know me or who think about me in a prejudiced way have about me.  Whatever you think about me is your business; when you harass me because of that opinion, then you're making your behavior my business.

The right to be left alone does not apply to men alone.
