Is she cut and bruised or not?

January 19, 2016

That's the Web address of a news story from last night that was broadcast by WCVB this morning.

Those are pictures of the written article at the WCVB website.

"As a result of the investigation, police said no attack took place."

"suffered bruises, scrapes and a laceration to her hand, requiring several stitches."

Those quotes are one sentence away from each other.

The woman got hurt; if there's not enough evidence to charge the people who hurt her with assault, then don't charge them with assault, but don't criminalize people asking for help when they're getting hurt!

The police are specific about where she says she was attacked; is where she says she was attacked near the "undisclosed address" where police say that she tried to break up a fight?  Is it bad to try to break up a fight?  Are police saying that trying to break up a fight is something for which women should be criminally charged?  Also, is it possible that she tried to break up the fight in the house and then she got attacked outside of the house or was followed and attacked after she had left?
