If they are capable of fighting in combat, they should be drafted to do that, just like men, when there is a draft. Women who are not capable of combat should nonetheless be drafted to serve in other capacities.
That women are not required to go to war when men are is a major source of resentment among men, and a reason that doesn't get talked about that often for why women aren't taken as seriously as men.
As long as there is a Selective Service, women should be required to register for it.
