Also; you might not realize it, but I have kept my distance from celebrities, and from fame. This is distance, what I'm doing; if you think about it, you'll know that I could have gotten to be really famous years ago, and it's my choice that I haven't. I can't stop all of it, but I don't have to choose all of it.
The technology that wasn't around when I was born has made boundaries difficult to set for a lot of people. Maybe you don't realize that, because you never knew a world before the Internet. I was almost 18 before there was such a thing as email.
It's also often difficult for young people to understand why older adults, who are supposed to have it all together, don't seem to. It's because, when we don't, we don't; it's not because we're trying to hurt or confuse young people or anyone else. It doesn't mean that everything that we say about everything is wrong; it means we're not perfect. Nobody ever is.
