Jess Cagle seems to have gotten promoted after I published pages about child and teenage sex slaves being imprisoned in cages in Mumbai.
That's the address for the pages of search results for a Google search of the term "child sex slaves mumbai."
I wrote a few pages about it; other people had already done the reporting about it.
That's the address of a page that I wrote on December 31, 2013.
That's the address of a People.com page that says "Jess Cagle was named Editorial Director of PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly in January 2014."
I'm not suggesting that he be demoted; the actual reporting that he's doing seems no worse than anyone else of that world. However, I think the conglomerate should stop promoting people for the sick code value that it can get from their names.
