Only rich people can protect themselves from any of it; they have the most control over where they live, work and otherwise spend their time. They have the money to hire people to help them if they are victimized. They are less likely to be the targets of these crimes than everyone else, because people who think about victimizing them know that there will be consequences. It's also not life-threatening for them the way that it is for people who are dependent on jobs from which they could be fired if the knowledge of their victimization circulates where they work, and who can't protect themselves from people who harass and stalk them after seeing them naked online.
Children and teenagers are also being victimized by these crimes, and are even more susceptible to suicide than adults.
It is now a frequent part of rape for the rapist or gang rapists to film the rapes and/or the naked victims and post those images online. The victims then get slut-shamed, and their trauma never ends.
