There was a party at Phi Kappa Psi on September 28, 2012.
I don't want to think about whether the judge is lying or whether he doesn't know that a time-stamped picture can be faked, or whether he doesn't realize that, although Jackie got the time of her assault wrong when she told Sabrina Erdely about it, the transcripts of the texts between her and Ryan the night she was assaulted indicate that Phi Kappa Psi knew when she was assaulted, even though she didn't, and that Phi Kappa Psi knew it months before those transcripts were released to the public.
I don't want to think about whether the judge or anyone else has considered that "8:52" could look like "12:52" on a digital clock that someone glances at before she's raped for hours.
The majority of people whose objections to Rolling Stone's characterization of Ms. Eramo have been presented as evidence for the plaintiff were students and former students of the University of Virginia who either worked for Ms. Eramo or were close to her. There is nothing about their objections that doesn't support the idea that the University of Virginia systematically disempowers women physically and psychologically.
If someone at Rolling Stone asked if the photo illustration of Ms. Eramo was "too mean" before the article was published, as the sickeningly biased and uninformed 20/20 broadcast said again, this is my question: what about rape? Do you think that's a nice crime? Also, how often does that person edit articles that are about investigations of crime? That's not what Rolling Stone publishes most of the time, is it?
Ms. Erdely and Rolling Stone tried to help victims of sexual assault, because, since 2010, most of the rest of the media has promoted sexual assault.
