Isn't what Apple told the public was that Apple didn't want to set a precedent of privacy invasions for its customers?
Apple's lying. There are probably millions of Apple customers whose phones are hacked and monitored by Apple for the sick amusement of the corporation. Who knows how many privately filmed pictures and videos have gotten taken from people's phones by Apple and published somewhere on the Internet?
Apple's probably not the only electronics corporation that criminally invades the privacy of its customers; I wouldn't be surprised if every corporation that has anything to do with phones and computers does.
