Edward Snowden

December 5, 2016

If Ms. Mills was the one who bought the cat, I think that was a good thing for her to do.  Perhaps I should have said it another way; the pets and children of famous people should have some privacy?

My reputation is undeserved, but that doesn't mean that nobody will use it against you.  If I can misinterpret something by mistake, people who hate you and me will deliberately misinterpret everything they can.

I have never met you.  We've never talked anywhere other than like this, on the Internet, in public.  I don't want to date famous people, whether they're activists or not.

We are trying to help each other, and the world.  We won't get everything right; nobody ever does.

I wish that Aaron Swartz were alive.  He knew so much more than I did about everything that's relevant to your department.
