I'd like never to have to argue for another day of my life.
If there's a side of politics that I like, it's not arguing.
What do I like about it?
I like that it's intellectually demanding but not socially isolated; you have to be able to talk and listen to people, to understand what they're telling you and to tell them what you want them to know so that they understand you. You have to be able to analyze a lot of information quickly and to get a sense from that analysis not only what has happened but what could happen. Having good judgment is probably the most important quality for a politician; not every profession provides opportunities for people who have good judgment to do things that help millions of people overnight.
I like that people who have done a lot and know a lot, from all over the country and all over the world, bring all of their knowledge and experience to one place. I like when the process works and there's progress.
I don't ever want to be a professional politician, but that's what I like about it.
