Those are pictures from today of a CBS News article that was published yesterday.
This is the address for the CBS article:
The Rolling Stone article says that Jackie was prescribed antidepressants because of her emotional trauma from being raped. The article describes that she gained weight from the medication, which Drew felt it was appropriate for him to bring to Jackie's attention, although Jackie had done everything that she could never to have to speak to him again.
After her lawyer's shocking use of an archaic tactic by defense lawyers in rape cases, that of portraying the victim as too unstable to tell the truth, and even attacking her attempts to regain a stability whose loss is arguably attributable to being raped, did Ms. Eramo tell her legal team never to say anything like that again? If Ms. Eramo did not tell her legal team that, then Ms. Eramo is no advocate for rape victims, regardless of who they are. I realize that she's trying to get some public vindication and a financial settlement, but that doesn't excuse her for abandoning all question of principle, and I hope that she will tell her lawyers to stop disparaging Jackie in this discriminatory way.
This is the address for the first page of results for a Google search from today of the term "defense lawyers discrediting victim's sanity."
