I know that I'm not ready to be a professional, political writer, or to be routinely considered by other people to be at that level. I don't know if I'll ever want to be at that level, although I have the right to free speech like everyone else.
People who like to mock me for not being as serious of a person as they think I think I am are projecting their pretensions, or at least their enjoyment of cruelty, onto me.
