This is a good decision.

That's the address of a New York Times article about the appointment of General Kelly to lead Homeland Security.

I agree with General Kelly's statements that physical standards shouldn't be lowered to include women in the military.  Women who can't meet the physical standards should not accepted; they should have opportunities to serve in other capacities.  

There is the question of whether it's always true that their failures to be accepted are always the result of the reality that men are usually stronger than women, or whether it has something to do with the mentality that's applied to women in the military from their supervisors.  

Personally, I think that everyone should have to register for potential military service, regardless of gender.  If men have to do that, then women should have the same obligation.  Equality is about rights and responsibilities.  

I also think that war should be abolished, but that's a discussion for another day.
