Why would Jackie plagiarize a Law and Order episode about gang rape and then tell Ms. Erdely about that episode, if she wanted Ms. Erdely to believe that she, Jackie, was raped?
Isn't it probable that Jackie saw the Law and Order episode and thought its similarities to her experience were worth telling to Ms. Erdely?
Rape is not creative; it is destructive and therefore will never be original. Regardless of time, place, perpetrator or victim, certain things about it will never change.
