I have talked and written before about how difficult it is to buy things that nobody could interpret as having a code meaning.

It takes hours, and isn't always possible no matter how much time I spend trying.  I also don't have a lot of money, so my choices are restricted from that, also.

I bought a purse a few years ago and wore it all the time until the strap broke.  When I went to a discount department store to get another one, the design of it had changed, including the fabric.  I took what I could get, which is what people who are poor have to do all the time.
