The Pine Street Inn is only open to its homeless guests during the day on Sundays or during extreme weather or by permission. Most of the day shelters are closed on Sundays. Unless I'm going to be in shelters all day, every day, using shelter restrooms and eating food provided by those shelters at specific mealtimes, I have to eat somewhere and I have to use the restroom somewhere that is not a shelter. If I spent all day, every day at a shelter, wouldn't I then be accused of being lazy and doing nothing to improve my situation?
