Ignorant people do bad things because they don't know that they're bad. Corrupt people do bad things because they don't care that they're bad.
There are a lot of educated, corrupt people; an education isn't a guarantee that someone will be a good person. However, people who are educated and good are usually more capable of achieving their goals than are people who are uneducated and good.
