"Why didn't you tell someone right away?"
That's a question that people who are victims of sexual crime, from sexual harassment to rape, are asked all the time. That a victim tried to tell someone, or several people, immediately after being victimized, and the person or people who were approached for help would not listen, verbally abused the victim, or had no power to help the victim, is not a matter of concern for those whose goals are discrediting the victim and protecting the criminal.
