What was his life like, personally and professionally, 6 years ago? It seems to me that words such as "drug problem," "assault," and "worst movie" were not being thrown around about him then.
He's spent the last few years struggling; it seems as if the conglomerate hasn't noticed that, or hasn't even thought about taking responsibility for promoting crime and other problematic behavior and for negatively influencing its followers.
I have realized that I expected too much from him when he was 21, 22, 23, and for however many years I got angry with him every day. When the most powerful people in the world are setting a horrible example, and nothing in your life has prepared you to know that they're wrong, an older woman with my neck problems is not going to persuade you to argue with a system that is promising to turn you into a god, even if she insists that you're too young for her before you know that she's right.
I am not bringing another young person into the conflict between the conglomerate and me, and the conglomerate shouldn't, either.
