The leading causes of death for children in the United States

March 3, 2016

That's the address for a page that has statistics from 2014.

Some of the statistics are about the leading causes of death for children in the United States.  They seem to be saying that "Accidents," which they also call "Unintentional Injuries," in parentheses, are the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4 and 5-14 They also seem to be saying that "Assault," which they call "Homicide" in parentheses, is the third-leading cause of death for children ages 1-4, and that "Intentional self-harm," which they call "Suicide" in parentheses, is the third-leading cause of death for children ages 5-14.

"Accidents" happen to be first for both groups.  Homicide happens to be third for children who are too young to be able to kill themselves to stop what is happening to them.  By the age of 5, they commit suicide more often than they are murdered.
