I was as surprised as anyone else that she lost, and it wasn't until half an hour or an hour after the results were tallied that I realized that not only had Mrs. Clinton lost, so had they.
As I have said since 2010, I've been a Democrat all my life, and nothing could ever change that. Also, the world is in too terrible of a situation for anyone to be sitting around gloating about anything.
I don't know that I have a lot to gloat about; for her to have won and for those people to have had that direct path to political power would have guaranteed me 4 years of unrelenting agony, worse than anything that had happened to me until then. Can a person gloat about avoiding something like that?
