This is the address of the article which I read that has the text of the court filing for Dean Eramo:
It's a Daily Caller article called "Court Docs: Rolling Stone Recently Fired Author of Debunked Campus Gang Rape Article." The author is Chuck Ross. It is one of the articles at the first page of Google search results for the search term "rolling stone uva."
Sabrina Erdely is a free lance writer. Mr. Ross, and the other people who are saying that Ms. Erdely got fired, are neglecting to say that the attacks on the Rolling Stone article are what have prevented Ms. Erdely from working since the article was published in 2014. If Ms. Erdely was not able to fulfill her contract's obligation to write a specific number of articles by a specific time, it's because of what has happened for a year and a half, not because she's a bad reporter.
The deadline for the contract's requirement of a specific number of articles has passed, and Rolling Stone and Ms. Erdely had to make a decision about what to do. If Ms. Erdely had signed another contract with Rolling Stone, all of her detractors would have attacked her and Rolling Stone for that, also.
According to the filing, the deadline established by the previous contract was in June of 2016. That was last month.
There's another Daily Caller article at the first page of Google search results for the search term "rolling stone uva." It's called "Court Docs: Rolling Stone Author Was Too Lazy To Fix Bogus Gang Rape Article." It's by Blake Neff, who identifies Jackie by her first and last name.
