I hope that she initiates and supports programs to address that issue, and that the rest of the federal government and the state governments support those programs.
Why shouldn't a woman prove that you don't have to be of a specific oppressed group to care about the rights of all people?
Racism will not go away by itself. The racism of the United States is systemic and ingrained in every part of our culture, and so it has to be confronted as a systemic problem that is part of everyone's life.
