They're screamed at by shelter staff. They're screamed at by other homeless people. If you're homeless, and you're not being screamed at, a homeless person near you is.
That's homelessness. Not all shelter staff or homeless people raise their voices every day, but raised, angry voices happen every day.
There's always a waiting list for the high-school-sized lockers. This is what I'm carrying around every day:
