Several businesses in the Boston area have Wet Floor signs on their floors, at the entrances to their establishments, and near or in their bathrooms all the time. It is derogatory and discriminatory. It is also a violation of regulations about the placement of those signs.
When signs that are supposed to signal to people to have caution because of something that is supposed to be a temporary, physical hazard, like a wet floor, are never put away, people will ignore them. What will then happen is that when a Wet Floor sign is being used to signal an actual hazard, people will ignore it and get hurt.
