Were the people who work at this building and who installed the hidden, illegal cameras in my apartment surprised that the police didn't find the cameras when they supposedly searched the apartment?

I wasn't.  I knew before I moved to the building that, if I were victimized by voyeurism in the apartment, the police would do nothing about it and I would be evicted for talking about the crime.  

Now janitors everywhere will know that they can victimize anyone with voyeurism and that the victims are the only people who will be punished.
