The Caution cones and Wet Floor signs strewn all over the place are like every other visual signal denigrating a group of people that a government has ever encouraged or permitted.

This time, in the United States, the denigration is directed at women. However, once the abuse of one group of people is promoted by the powerful of a country, it's easier for other groups to be oppressed, also. When the habit of discrimination is entrenched, it is easily expanded to include whichever groups it is politically, economically or, in some other way, expedient for the powerful to exploit.
