Before I ask my questions, I want to say that it is wrenching to think of the American landscape being changed by the construction of that wall. However, the American landscape is already being damaged by gangs and drugs, and there is drug money that finances terrorism.
I won't say that I am decidedly in favor of the wall; what I'm saying is that I acknowledge the logic of it.
That being said:
Instead of saying that the United States is going to build the wall and that someone else is going to pay for it, why not offer the idea as a joint effort, no pun intended? (I am against the legalization of marijuana. I think it's going to cause more car accidents, more work accidents, more addiction problems, and everything else that drugs cause.). Why not ask Canada and Latin America to help pay for some, but not all of, the wall, and why not offer them something in return?
It seems to me that Latin America has reasons to want to keep many of the people who emigrate to the United States. They are courageous people who want to thrive, and they feel that they have few options.
That's the address for the first page of YouTube results for "maria full of grace movie."
