That's not because of an example that I set for anyone.
I don't think that I'll be able to sit at a table in the store to do my homework; not even for the hour and a half that I have before I have to take everything back to storage and go to Boston for the shelter bed lottery. He'll cough at me the entire time, I'll try to ignore him, he'll harass me until I tell him to stop, then he won't stop and he'll say he's not doing anything, the manager will have to do something about it, and I'll be told to leave.
There's nowhere else within walking distance of the storage unit for me to do my homework. I can't risk being told that I can't ever be at that Dunkin' Donuts.
Maybe he has a problem with my having a laptop, but I had to use ALL of the rest of my financial aid from the Spring 2016 semester to buy the laptop because I couldn't use the computer labs at school without being harassed.
I don't ever take the laptop to the shelter, and I don't carry it around with me most of the time, because I don't want to risk it being stolen.
_____
I can't do my homework during this hour and a half that I had scheduled for it. I am outside the Dunkin' Donuts, at one of the store's outdoor chairs. The glare from the sun is such that I almost can't read the screen of the laptop. Also, the message when I turned the laptop on was that the battery has almost nothing left.
It's homework that I can't do from my phone; that's also why I bought the laptop last semester.
