Shouldn't all the universities be asking Syrians to write about Syria, to provide a historical record and to prevent as much disintegration of their culture as they can?

They'll write about the war, but couldn't they also be asked to write about everything else?  

Why not have blogs created and maintained by universities, where Syrians can write or send voice recordings whenever they want, about their home?
